Melanie Moore was the grand prize winner of the eighth season of the U.S. reality television competition So You Think You Can Dance. According to the results announced on the broadcast, Melanie won “overwhelmingly”, garnering 47% of the vote in a four-way final tally. At the time of the competition, she was a 19-year-old freshman attending Fordham University at Lincoln Center in New York City.

She trained and competed for twelve years in Marietta, Georgia at Rhythm Dance Center. Most recently she can be found dancing with Shaping Sound as a company dancer. Her television credits also include Glee, Dancing with the Stars and All the Right Moves.
